The top surface makes a great psuedo-tabletop without sticking out too much from the wall. The low height means I have tons of wall space for my pictures, a huge bonus. I have an Ikea bookshelf on either side and it looks like a unified set! Great for a bedroom or a hallway/entryway that needs extra storage. It can be assembled by one person but I recommend having a friend help bring it in.
